Too Many People Can Have Sex and Get Married
By Micah Holmquist
God never gives us a challenge we aren’t strong enough to face. Psalm 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
This is something to keep in mind as we work to fight against sodomite “marriage.”
The Federal Marriage Amendment recently failed to pass in the U.S. Senate because we, the Christian conservatives of America, failed to pray in sufficient numbers for its passage.
Much of the blame for this should go to the major Christian leaders of this country who failed to call on people to pray for the passage of this amendment so that we could begin the process of preventing homosexual sodomites from every disgracing marriage. A Google search for “pray for the passage of the federal marriage amendment" turns up only three results. Our leaders, people like James Dobson and Jerry Falwell, should have been doing much more.
This defeat, however, is not permanent. David Brody of CBN News reports that conservatives haven’t given up. We must continue this fight because our cause is just and we are on the right side, the side that is trying to save America. We must never forget that the fight against sodomite “marriage” is the same fight as the war on terror. As one of this country’s great leaders, Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, has said, “the future of our country hangs in the balance because the future of marriage hangs in the balance. Isn’t that the ultimate homeland security—standing up and defending marriage?”
While we must never give up, now is the time to step back, rethink our strategy and ask a simple question—why are we opposed to sodomites getting “married”?
Is it because we are worried about the influence of unelected judges? No, we use the judicial tyranny argument primarily because it presently appears like we would win if sodomite “marriage” was put up to a popular vote or handled in legislatures.
So is it because sodomite “marriage” will lead to the ruination of society? Not really. Those who believe the Bible already know that the world is about to face the horrors of the Great Tribulation. The claim that we want to prevent the downfall of America is therefore dishonest and preachers like John Hagee who use it should be ashamed of doing so.
No, we are opposed to sodomites getting “married” because homosexual activities are an abomination to God! It is not, however, the only thing that offends God. Read your Bible and you will see that sex is only to be between two people united by Holy Matrimony. ("For it is only when people get married that they should start to have sexual thoughts,” the Good Book should say.) Think of all the Godless people who are allowed to have sex and then get married. We should not allow this, and yet we do.
The facts are as clear as they are disturbing. According to a page I found on the web from a group called Advocates for Youth, in 2001 a piece published in the Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report Surveillance Summaries says that only 40% of high school seniors in 2001 “said they never had sex.” Some of those students are not being chaste, which, according to chastitycall.org “means more than just abstinence. Chastity means asking God to help you make the right decisions when dating! Chastity means asking God to guide your thoughts, your words and your actions on every date you have.”
This behavior doesn’t stop once they become 18, either. A 1989 Heritage Foundation study found that American adults said they have an “average of 7.15 sexual partners since age 18.”
There is nothing to stop these fornicators from “marrying” and then continuing to fornicate with other people. Similarly there is nothing to prevent marriage amongst Muslims, secular people and practioners of other false religions (including “Christians" who don’t know the Word of God).
God will have no mercy for these satanically inspired individuals come the Day of Judgment, so why should they now be allowed to “marry” and go about their sinful ways with our approval?
The solution to this problem is quite simple. Christians need to stop supporting the Federal Marriage Amendment and start supporting an amendment that would do much more.
We need an amendment that forces all Americans and people living in America to declare whether or not they are a Bible believing and practicing Christian before they begin to have sexual thoughts. Any person who declines to make this declaration should be prevented from ever having sex through castration or female genital mutilation.
We need an amendment that creates a national sodomy law, by which I mean it bans all sex that God doesn’t like. This of course will ban the sexual sin of masturbation. Any sodomite found guilty of sodomy should be executed. (The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and Woodhull Freedom Foundation have already pointed out that many states already have excellent laws that criminalize some evil sexual acts. We need to strengthen those laws.)
This amendment should also ban Judges and others from performing marriages. Marriages should only be performed by male ministers (a ban on satanic religions and civil rights and equal protection laws will be accomplished in another amendment) and should only be used to unite a man and a woman, both of whom are alive and have their genitalia. Married couples will “be fruitful and multiply” because all forms contraception will be prohibited and treated the same as sodomy.
Some misguided people will no doubt claim that this amendment would abridge the freedom of Americas, but nothing could be further from the truth. No less a source than President George W. Bush has said, “we received our rights from God.” If this is true, and it is because the Declaration of Independence tells me so, how then can people have a “right” to do things that are displeasing to God?
The answer is that no “right” to evil exists. “Does the God we worship promote worldwide abortion, homosexuality, fornication (distributing condoms even to children!), pornography...?” Dr. Richard H. Strand has said on the Radio Liberty website. “He allows wicked leaders to sponsor such things, but they are certainly not things that He wants. He surely wants Christians to stop those evil things in a country where the people elect their own rulers.”
It is our duty as followers of Jesus Christ to stop the menace of sodomy and fornication, by defining marriage as the union of one Christian man and one Christian woman and prohibiting all sexual activity that happens outside of these unions. The challenge is great, but the stakes our higher and the Lord will lead us to victory!
