WMD or No WMD, Bush and Blair Are Dangerous Criminals

George Bush may have lied about Iraq having these things called weapons of mass destruction. But even if Iraq did have these so-called WMD or is found to still have them, that wouldn’t make the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq any less criminal or evil.

The United States and its yes-men around the world who orchestrated this outrageous act and participated in it should be brought to justice for committing grievous crimes. The leaders of those countries that voted for U.N. Resolution 1441, which ordered Iraq to disarm or face severe consequences, also should be held accountable.

If this were a sane and just world, the leaders of the U.S., British and Australian governments would be spending the rest of their lives behind bars. The leaders of those nations that voted for U.N. Resolution 1441 also would be punished harshly for their outrageous conduct, although they perhaps would be spared life sentences.

Those European nations whose leaders voted for U.N. Resolution 1441 but then opposed the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq did nothing to prevent or punish the rogue nations-states perpetrating the terror. These leaders could have and still could be doing much more to try to rein in the U.S. and U.K. regimes.

These nations still want to be welcomed into the club of top economic powers in the world. Just witness the conduct of these nations at the G8 summit in Evian last week and how they returned to their old ways of partnering with the other dominant nation-states to rule the world like organized crime bosses.

France, Germany and Russia are scoundrel nations that should not be trusted, no more than the Bush and Blair governments. Russia, in particular, is led by a proto-fascist who holds no allegiance to even the barest form of freedom.

The U.S.-led invasion of Iraq is a crime of mammoth proportions. Continuously highlighting the fact that the invasion forces have yet to find any WMD plays into the hands of the propaganda system used to justify the invasion. Under the current nation-state system, Iraq had every right to have WMD, despite resolutions passed by the U.N. or orders given by the U.S. One nation or group of nations that possessess WMD cannot legitimately keep another one from doing the same.

If the U.N. were a legitimate institution, it would force the United States to get rid of its huge cache of WMD. Perhaps then there would be some justification for forcing other countries around the world to do the same.

Until then, or until the world’s nation-state system collapses, those countries that are armed to the teeth with arsenals of WMD and who then force others to disarm are the true rogue nation-states and the most dangerous threats to international stability.
