PA Feedback: Pet Rats, Semantics and Sharpton Apologists
Re: Random Thoughts on Chinese New Year
The best article I have read in ages. Not just content, but a gem of writing style. Seen so many stupid articles these days, that stopped reading altogether. However my sister e-mailed me this. I think I will go out and get a pet rat, if they are anything as intelligent as Mickey Z., hehe.

Re: Occupied Territories to Occupier’s Territories?
The point of a book review is to comment on its literary value; not on its political suggestions. Even something heinous and reprehensible to us can have literary value.
Mr. Akram should be aware that just as he has his OPINIONS about the ownership of the West Bank, so does Ms. Doenges. Mr. Akram is so eager to point out references and web links & he presents his opinion as if it is fact. Anyone familiar with even a tiny bit of middle east history is aware that things are not as straight forward as Akram wants us to believe.
Maybe Mr Akram should stick to economics.

Re: Occupied Territories to Occupier’s Territories?
Methinks that Mr Tanweer Akram protests too much. No one reading “Welcome to Heavenly Heights” is plunged into internal political turmoil. This is a humanistic story, about real Jewish humans who would just as soon love their Arab neighbors if they would act neighborly. There are no “occupiers”; and anyone would be welcome to populate that beautiful land — for the purpose of making it flourish — and not to shed blood.
Mr. Akram, I beg you. Please don’t overlook the beauty of the story in this book, and reduce it to your own political semantic problem.

Re: Scoundrels Seek Refuge in Tragedy
Excellent analysis; should be read by every American who has been believing the oversimplifications, misrepresentations and falsifications that have been emanating from successive Israeli governments since 1948.

I agree with everything you say about this new super party. Though I would like to know if such a party exists. I’m a college student at the University of Iowa. A few fellow political science majors and I decided that we would like to be in a united political party. That’s where our interests in the republicratic party bloomed. Is this party just make believe, or is there actually an organization. If it’s real, how can I find out more about them. We’d like to know more. Thanks!

Re: The Press and Candidates Named Al
Al Sharpton’s presidential campaign is nothing more than a devious publicity campaign to get attention and big sales for his nutty book, “Al on America.” Mark Hand, author of the column “The Press and Candidates named Al” (Jan. 6, 2003), has fallen right into Al’s promotional trap. When is it going to penetrate the skulls of Sharpton apologists that this man is a phony who uses race-baiting and shake down tactics to keep his coffers full of cash? Doesn’t anyone remember the Tawana Brawly debacle? Wake up, people and stop supporting so-called “progressives” at any price!
Signed, Garrett
