  1. excellent, sir. compliments from a Canadian who is part of a non-visible minority - look white, not quite chinois, but nonetheless a mongol kazak. and now if I want to cross the border I must produce an officially sanctioned “proof of existance’ (a.k.a. passport?) to satisfy the meager intelligance of the border crossing staff. huddled masses indeed. a visit is uncertain, never mind immigrating. Attitude- there you pegged it right on the head - exactly whan did political convenience outweigh the value of honesty in politics (oh, that is soooo naieve..).
    And overall I prefer the Hillary over the Bush style, Lord knows Canada hasn’t had a decent leader since P. Trudeau, and the US hasn’t done much better (and Nixon was slimy, but effective at the time...).
