Exactly right. Well said too. Goliath (the duopoly) remains in authoritarian power because all of the Davids (some of whom Theo names) are working towards advancing their own parties’ interests, intead of the common interest of the whole. When Ralph started his campaign, he sought to unify as many third parties as he could to provide a united “third force” effort towards dismantling the grip that the duopoly has on the electoral process. Electoral reform would’ve provided all third parties with a more equitable and level playing field for their future efforts to advance their platforms. Alas, however, they were not interested in such a “third force” initiative for a common cause… and opted, instead, to fly the flag of their parties’ idealogies. When third parties become idealogies, instead of strategic co-participants in a unified political effort to change the political landscape, Goliath gleefully continues his reign.

Thanks Nader Rider. We gotta come together like Voltron! (Or the Wu!) I think we will see a change if we keep on proving that that’s simply true. These all to many and disparate parties are currently little better than social clubs with political hobby magazines. I’m saying: Progressives, please put up or shut up. Anyway, I said my piece here and want to thank Press Action for that opportunity.
