  1. I’m currently deployed to Iraq as a Sniper. I currently run 4 sniper teams and have been doing so since march of 2003. If any of my soldiers talked to the press about what happpens here, i would releive them of there duties and send them to the line unit. Some of my soldiers have talked to the press, but not about how many kills or how we operate. This is a violation of operational security. The enemy can read to. Thank you Sgt. Davis for putting every sniper’s live in jeopordy while operating in Iraq. What happen to the quite professionals?

  2. You are all cowards. Why don’t you travel to Iraq and interview a sniper team for yourself instead of twisting the the commentary of a man who had the guts to do just that. Those men that you are trying to tear down protect the lifes of fellow soldiers that have vowed to defend your way of life and freedom, not to mention the right for you to print and publish the garbage that you do. These men have been trained to do a hard job, they are a special breed, and yes they more than likely do take pride in the job they do. This sniper team that you are attacking kills enemy soldiers that have vowed to kill all Americans, and yes that even includes you Mickey Z. Please post this reply on you website, I dare you. But you and I both know that you won’t. Take care and let me know how your trip to Iraq and intrview go.

  3. It is such a shame when americans attack other americans. Especially when they attack american soldiers on how they do their jobs defending the protected (civilians). I have been a sniper for almost my entire military career. My unit was some of the first american soldiers to fight in Afghanistan and after that tour we packed everything back up and took part in the first wave of the Iraqi invasion. Almost two long years have passed since myself or any of my fellow soldiers have had any rest. Now that we are back at our home base, it fills me with great anger to hear how some ignorant civilian is writing about how these soldiers are not doing the right thing.
What if one day you all woke up to go to work and their was no U.S. military? What if there was no one to fight for freedom? Freedom is not just a word! And eventhough the first for letters of the word may say it;freedom is not free!
It seems that in this day and age that americans always want to just forget about all of the problems. It seems that they would just rather have somebody else deal with it. Well, I have been to the places that these soldiers have been to that you are writing about and I have seen what they have seen and I have had to do what they have had to do;our job!
You think that this is just something that happens on t.v. and that it is so far away.  have news for you all, It is right at your door step and it will not go away by itself.
And has for snipers; what do you know about us? You think that because you read some articles or books, or a special on the discovery channel that you have us all figured out? In order to judge one of us you would have had to have been one of us at some point in your life and I am pretty sure that you are not one of us.
You can keep writing you articles but the war will continue to go on and men like Sgt. Davis and myself will continue to fight it our way. civilians are given the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press, but soldiers are given a much better freedom; the freedom to defend the american way of life at all costs. What gives you the right to judge us? What have you done to earn your freedom?
