Nader in Chicago

Yes, Tracy’s right on target with this sweet presentation of the Nader/Noranda/Northrop syndrome. No, we can’t afford to let a single day go by w/o doing something to undermine Americans’ insane support of the status quo. Let’s everyone email Tracy to let him know what you’re doing to directly stop The Machine each day...as The Powers will let Ralph talk like this...as long as he likes. Ralph can’t go here or there w a (nontoxic) spray can, can’t afford to put a lock on a given door, won’t soon tear this or that up, etc. All he can do is embody the honesty and integrity that Tracy alludes to, and eloquently lay out the dynamics of abuse. It’s up to us to get past the FACT that --for whatever reasons-- those 95% of Americans that Tracy touches upon are going to require that we put a glitch in their business-as-usual. We must come up with a parallel to the idea of impeachment of Bush, a parallel that applies to the American public. Loving regards in solidarity, Your Ox

Excellent overview of Nader’s positions. Nader is an educator. I even remember Nader said that Al Gore USED to be an educator in the US congress (this was during his 1996 run), but that the slightly progressive Gore disappeared once he became VP (remember that toxic waste incinerator in Ohio that Gore said he’d stop, but once elected forgot all about!?—see Alex Cockburn’s book on Gore).
I hope Nader will take up the topic of Depleted Uranium weapons used in the last four US wars which equals 400,000 Nagasaki sized atomic bombs of atomicity (I keep harping on this hoping someone will pick this topic up and run with it. There was an item at Rense.com on DU atomicity in Iraq) spread in our biosphere for the next four billion years killing everything it can and may.Yesterday two Japanese anti war activists and a free lance journalist were apparently abducted in Iraq, and are reportedly being held hostage in retaliation for Japanese participation in the illegal occupation of Iraq by outside forces. One of the activists was working on the issue of the horrible effects of DU weapons on Iraqi people (so it is ironic that he would be executed, how sad). The abductors are threatening to execute these people if Japan does not withdraw their forces in three days.
Anyway, the threads of corporate power (Nader’s theme), war and global chaos are unraveling, and Nader is one of the only sane voices out there raising these issues.
Thanks Tracy!

Tracy, Thank you for your succinct description of Nader’s position. I’m going to share this with my skeptical friends in North Dakota.
I’m doing what I can here in an environment of complacent conformity. Seems like Hell has frozen over and we have one devil of a bushfire on the prairie. Daily North Dakotans are dumbed down under the press of the media. I say “Nader” and my friends say “Shut up and face reality”. I’m going to leave your article on their coffee tables, I won’t have to waste my breath anymore. What a relief.Posted by Harley McLain from on 04/19 at 08:23 PM -
Ralphie Boy pushes all the right buttons, but instead of grabbing another 15 minutes of publicity during another prez election cycle, and then disappearing for four years; why not formulate on-going grass-roots action to counter corporate greed and abuse? Maybe he already does, but the only time I seem to hear from him is every four years...whining about the system. The power IS ALREADY in the hands of the people...they are just too lazy to use it.
Why are you reading this? Aren’t you missing something really good on TV?
