  1. There is no doubt that the left has its fair share of nutcases, as anyone who has been to a Green Party outing will likely attest.

    I’d say that’s true. Everybody’s a little nuts as it is anyway (whatever their personal politics). I, for one, indulge my mania from time to time: it’s good for creative work and unearthing all those interesting thoughts and phrases that lurk in my subconscious mind.

    It is questionable whether or not responding to the neocons’ assault on sanity is worth the energy.

    I’d have to agree.

    If they try to decipher all that mad talk in its proper context (i.e., the world being blown apart), it’s enough to reduce the “sanest” of Americans to drooling messes as they try to get their heads around having gone to war to preemptively disarm Iraq by force to win the war on terror for freedom.

    I’d say that ought to be enough to drive anyone out of their mind.
