  1. Great article, I agree completely!  The irony is that only the US public is being fooled - I doubt the Iranian government or people are concerned with the recent surge in fearmongering and brinkmanship.  Hersh, Arkin, and whoever at the Washington Post can keep this issue at the forefront of the news, but I doubt they will do more than sell newspapers. Iran appears to be totally in control of the situation, and the US is not going to gain anything from all this in the end.

  2. I have no opinion on whether or not the USA will bomb Iran. Drudge is now reporting that Blair will not back a US attack on Iran. Just 2 points I want to make…
1… Based on recent history the USA is sure to find some country to bomb in the not-too-distant future. It can be argued that statistically the probability is that the USA will find a country that does not have nuclear weapons and is inhabited by brown or tan skinned people.
2… The USA lost its moral right to impose ANY restrictions on nuclear development in Iran or anywhere else when it used its weapons on the civilian populations in Japan.

  3. Well said, PA. Pointing out the left-of-center’s refusal take a stand against unprovoked American attacks and invasions is valuable, and, to me, valued work. I can’t say that exactly I am a pacifist. For example, I just threw a shime-waza on some maniac belswagger that apparently thought he was “gonna rip off my wristwatch with a hip toss” or something, only to get a brick chucked at my head in front of a take-out coffee joint. I am 100% serious. (I hate this country.) But that is a silly boys’ altercation in the street. Threatening to terror-bomb Iran is an entirely different matter. Sometimes I think the guys with their fingers on the button show about the same level of maturity. Luckily, I am not in power. Unfortunately, people with about my level of maturity are.
