Good work, Josh. Thanks. Fascinates me how much time people like Dean and his supporters think we have; kind of like what Monbiot pointed out recently. To wit, by buying SUVs people are able to confirm their denial that anything is happening. Guess talking the “years from now talk” perpetuates the comfy delusion that we don’t have our terminal illness. Best, Richard

Counterpunch is the only progressive media willing to give this election to Bush. You ideologues on the ultra-left are as bad as Bush/Cheneyburton on the ultra-right. You will be irrelevant after Kerry/Edwards wins this election. Good riddance.

One of the problems with (Santa Cruzans?) like Mike is that they think in terms of that old worn out spectrum of Ultra this and that...in lieu of sizing up what is actually happening in Nature...in front of their eyes. One of the reasons this whole civilization is going to either be brought to a halt by Resistance...or ended by Mother Nature herself...is that the so-called Left and Right groups are detached from the environment...and have...as per their long dominant Euro traditions (which forced the snakes out of Ireland...along with “witches") no respect for natural forces. If you’re not going to hug a tree...at least look long and hard at an Old Growth one...before they’re all gone. Blessings, O’Xman ps Counterpunch ain’t the only engine jumping on that train, by the way!

Bush? Kerry? What’s the difference.

Irrelevant? Sounds like Bush in front of the UN threatening it if it didn’t OK his aggression in Iraq.
