  1. A $447 billion war budget?  Not counting the CIA, veterans benefits, and DOE expenditures on nuclear weapons, this latter some $18 billion last I checked.  Oh for the good old days of March 1981 when I wrote an unanswered letter to Reagan bemoaning his $230 billion, soon-to-be-approved war proposal.
