  1. What nobility.  That our armed forces would do battle to protect one’s right to choose or not to be a baseball/Padres fan.  That’s right up there with about ten years ago when Seven/Eleven stores had an ad campaign equating America’s freedom to choose with Coke, Pepsi, or Sprite fountain drinks.  My heart swells with pride.

  3. I wish you would have emailed me this BEFORE I wrote the piece. Very quotable. John, unlike yourself, I do not need a group of young people (who are very often lied to regarding benefits of military duty) to protect my freedom. The state does not grant me my freedom. I was born this way. If you really need a bunch of CEOs telling you how to think, be my guest. However, it would be much braver of you to do the fighting as opposed to waving pompoms for the killing of innocent men, women, & children. If you must kill innocent people to be free: go down to the mall and open fire. It sucks that you are brainwashed. As I’m sure you know, what was a witch in 1692...was a communist in 1953...is now a terrorist/Islamofascist in 2004. John, do you not see the irony? You are angry because we speak out against murder. Your life must have murder to make it function...you are THAT brainwashed.

    Hey John: Some of those US Servicepeople are WOMEN, too. Do you wonder why so many US military women are being raped by US military men? It’s an epidemic, John.

    Maybe it has something to do with the fact that, as the British military noted, American soldiers are shoing no sensitivity to the Iraqis. Their racism and feelings of superiority makes them see all Iraqi (whom they are trying to “liberate") as primitive, inferior people (i.e. they have infested the American white supremacist mentality that White+Might=Right).
