How ‘bout a wealth tax? That would be a truly democratic measure. Or reinstating the inheritance tax, in Bush jargon, the death-tax. Previously that applied only to the top two percent of incomes. Honestly, I don’t know what its status is now, but I believe it is being incrementally eliminated altogether. How can the majority of United States citizens be persuaded to believe it is in their best interest to repeal a tax that only the richest 2% pay?

A less regressive system of taxation might help a few Americans, but 4 billion across the globe need relief.

Indeed. Mickey, you’re wit is inimitable. What’s your solution to that? An unfair question, granted. And one I think you expound upon almost daily. But point-blank? What d’ya think?

Z’s perspective slams home and should be on the front page of all mass media newspapers. Ive printed it and sent it to many of my anesthtized acquaintances. Keep up the great writing of NEEDED clear vision.

I am reading David Cay Johnston’s book Pefectly Legal. He deals with much of this kind of information. What do you think of his book? I find it astounding. What can we realistically do?
