The Feinstein Family of War Profiteers, Part Two: Partisanship Trumps Ethics

Yeah, okay. A significant chunk of the Dems, a majority, are your typical politicians, locked into the money system. Just like the Republicans. I now know that Feinstein’s husband, Blum, is a big-shot capitalist, using one of world capitalism’s political machines, the Democratic Party, to make a buck. War profiteer. Umm… over here in my little political world of being a revolutionary anarcho-commy with a taste for pranksterism and good writing, that barely raises an eyebrow, man.
Is your point here to inform liberals (are they the same as the progressive Democrats?) of some suspect ethics in the Democratic Party? If so, then you’d be better off arguing it with some Democrats. If you are merely adding to your many articles about this topic, so be it…
The point still remains:
What about the everyday people who sort of consider themselves Democrats (well, basically, because they know they are not Republicans)?
The American left’s strategy seems to be to come down hard on the Dems. But what is the left doing (or planning to do) about electoral politics and the urgent task of building a new political party? How is the left bringing these disgruntled Dems over to work with us? What jobs do we have for them to do? What about their excellent organizing skills and other resources? They will need something to do.
Political success for the left will really be all about people somehow getting over their differences, not endlessly defining what their parties, sects and factions actually “stand for.”
This goes for the progressives too. They may not even know it, but they are on our side. An awful lot of them consider themselves Democrats by default and that is because there is no other “serious” political party for them to join.
