  1. During his term as governor, I had several encounters with Dean. Mostly on call-in tv programs. I can tell you that Dean is NOT a progressive. By my standards, I always believed him to be very right-wing. In my opinion he is probably an OK kind of guy but definately the ultimate politician through and through. I was amazed during his run for the nomination to see so many in Vermont abandon their anti-war stand in order to support Dean. When I questioned this, I was always given the ABB answer.  Thanks for the great article. I can’t wait to read the book.
