I’m surprised you didn’t bing up the CIA involvement in destabilizing governments for Divine-Molin to mull over. With such involvement, it is difficult to say what “rebellious” activity is home grown and what is US inspired. I hope you sent this to her.

Actually, you got it wrong. Ms. Devine-Molin is correct, the Middle East has been a pot about to boil over for Centuries, you seem to have hoped for the stopping of time in the 20th Century. You may want to actually look at history, may I suggest you actually look into the history of the region? How about looking into the story of the wars between Babylonia (modern Iraq) and Persia (modern Iran), as well as the involvement of Sparta, Thesbia, Athens, Troy, and Mesopotamia, just to name a few. The troubles of the Middle east actually go beyond that time back further into history, but be careful, 2500 years may overload your research abilities. The middle east has actually been in turmoil far longer than that. Ms. Devine-Molin is actually correct but then when you have an agenda it’s easier to bash ones who disagree with you than it is to actually do any research.
