The AP and the rest of the media are complicit. Isn’t it remarkable that now, in the “information age”, the dumbing-down of the population has never been greater....About the Graner sentencing, it has been reported that he will be eligible for release in 1 year...also right now on the CNN Quick Vote, 43% of the people think that his sentence was TOO HARSH....and we wonder why they they hate us.

No. Any evil of the US political elite is ALWAYS alleged, no matter the evidence. This is the nature of US democracy. For example, 3 million Indochinese were allegedly slaughtered in the war the Vietnamese call the American War. The US allegedly supported Saddam Hussein militarily, economicially, and diplomatically right up to the day he invaded Kuwait in 1990. Salvador Allende was allegedly deposed by a CIA-sponosored coup in 1973, and in his stead Pinochet installed to rule with an iron fist and alleged US support for three decades. President Mossadegh was allegedly similarly deposed in Iran in 1953, as was Arbenz in Guatemala in 1954. And so on.
