  1. Vow, The man is Inspiring, It was a great interview.  Alas , It could have been much longer.
    I read the transcript of his Interview in Democracy Now. Hope you Interview him soon again.  But the next time It must be longer.

Just saw John Perkins on C-Span 2 Book TV.  An exceptionally intelligent, humanitarian, compassionate speaker.  I only stayed with it initially because of reading this interview last night.  What a coup to get an interview with him.  Congratulations on excellence in journalism Rosemary, and thanks!

  3. Tracy, that C-span interview was really great.  I was going to alert everyone to it but because of the new way that comments are posted on the PA site, I didn’t think that it would help. The extra click of the mouse might be too much for some without the tease in the column on the right.  My interaction with John Perkins made me be impressed with him even more.  As you could see on C-span, his sincerity really comes through. He is now on my list of my top 2 or 3 favorite writers.  His message is so important. His message is depressing and inspiring.  We need an international DUMP THE DEPT REVOLUTION.  If only there was a way to get the message in Perkin’s book into the mainstream. If anyone reads this and has any influence in selecting a Commencement Speaker for any college, I hope that the invite Perkins.

  5. I read John Perkin’s book and it was GREAT!  Everyone needs to read it and become aware of what our government has been up to.  It was very disturbing to learn of the corruption within.
    I always knew our government was corrupt, but to what extent is appalling.

    We all must fight this imperialist globalization that our government is inflicting on our world as well as on it’s own people.

  6. Jamie, I agree.  Today I hope that everyone is following the events around Ward Churchill.  He has been under serious assault lately and is scheduled for a news conference this evening.

  7. I saw a news story about him on Democracy Now.  Who is covering the the news conference and what time?  This poor guy, jeez, totally had his 1st Amendment rights violated.

  8. I really appreciate the confessions of John Perkins, but I will pay him higher respect if he can do more to save high-debt countries like Indonesia out of their debt burden.

    Mr. Perkins, you have gained your wealth out of suffering nations. Your confessions will not make you innocent. God bless you.
