  1. Thank you for this Glorious article.  The points that you make in a and b are very important. For some time now I have been working to get those same issues into the mainstream media. It is very useful to remind all US citizens that they have an obligation to pay reparations. Many of them think with their wallets, so I remind them that maybe a minimum of 10 million to each Iraqi family for every family member that was slaughtered...also, of course the total cost of reconstruction should be paid by those who did the damage. And, it goes without saying that ALL US corporations should be banned. Thanks for the great article.

  3. Yeah! ... Here you state: ‘Only one position ought be acceptable to us: the complete repudiation of the pre-emptive war doctrine . . .’ A minor, conceptual, editorial suggestion might be to replace ‘pre-emptive’ with ‘preventive’ as per Chomsky: ‘Whatever the justifications for pre-emptive war might be, they do not hold for preventive war, particularly as that concept is interpreted by its current enthusiasts: the use of military force to eliminate an invented or imagined threat, so that even the term “preventive” is too charitable. Preventive war is, very simply, the supreme crime that was condemned at Nuremberg.’ Naturally, the term ‘pre-emptive’ has already been effectively buzzworded by both the establishment press and the political squawks, so your terminological choice is sensible. But there’s no need to allow any conceptual breathing room for any more incoherent justifying obvious imperialism. Including both terms might be smart. Just a thought.
