  1. Perhaps you know, Jordy, whether or not the posting of this article signals a change in guidelines at Press Action. I can’t seem to get a response respecting why my Green/Red piece recently posted on Kap Fulton’s site is not included here; seems to me it would be a perfect foil for what you’re doing here. I don’t think Gui’s going to be commenting here much more (if at all), but I’d sure like Rosemarie and/or NR and/or others to jump in on this issue...for the health of one and all...in the name of having a range of opinions presented, to say the least.  By the way, Rosemarie, if you’d like a serious answer to your question about Blum in the schools...let me know via Never-Never Land...and I’ll jump on it as soon as I tune back in.

  3. Hi, Jordy. Please read my Green/Red thing on Kap’s site; it wouldn’t hurt to read what I just entered in the commentary attached to my Never-Never Land piece either. One thing you are NOT doing is weighing in on the horrid treatment I’m receiving in these quarters.  If you or anyone thinks the discussion on this site will thrive w/o confronting what I have to say in detail, ongoing...you are very sadly mistaken about what it’s going to take for “The Movement” to bloom. None of this has anything to do w how you feel about me personally...or what you think of my views.  It has primarily to do w a mistake having been made around here.  To wit, exclusion in the name of avoidance, boycotting in the name of comfort. That won’t wash for what you and the others “say” you want to do in this world.  But...let me know what you think of the recommended reading first.

  4. I know nothing of horrid treatment from any quarters.. except to say that your writings have become - and this from a fan - ever more detached from intelligibility. And I read the piece to which you refer, and have some strong issues and disagreements with it.  As to horrid treatment, well, I’m sorry you feel that way...perhaps you can reflect on how many times you insulted many people, dominated this forum and came to compare yourself to John Brown and Saul of Tarsus.

I really have a lot of respect for you...some of your writngs have such an agitative, brilliant quality and I can safely assume you’re a helluva speaker.  But the angel of history always returns as I wrote, and you can’t go around pissing people off and expecting them to respect you because you have great ideas and promote left writers/host summits, etc. - all laudable but not excusing your behaviour.

  5. (space limits are going to make this more than one part long)
I think it might be prudent to step back a moment and look around at the Left and Progressives,as well as anarchists and radicals(not all,but most)and their websites.See a pattern?I have. It’s recycled information. The events may be current, but it’s the same old dance.

We know Fox News is crap,we know the election was stolen,we certainly know our government and media are not bastions of Truth. We GET it.And if I,your"average american housewife"(who by the way is not pathetically desperate),GETS it,then alot more people most likely do too. However, just knowing the truth and doing nothing with it is the problem.Besides writing books, giving speeches and blogging. This is where alot of Movements get hung up.

  6. (part two)
It’s essential to know the Truth, for people to remove their blinders. But,if nothing else is offered up to reduce the blinding glare, the blinders go back on pretty fast. The constant stream of “yes kids, they screwed us again"makes the american public feel even more frustrated and unable to act.I can not speak for Richard,I don’t know him,but it seems to me,that his writing has a real urgency about it to do more than just list the problems, even when they come with only new dancing shoes but the dance is the same.He seems to be calling for ACTION,direct, swift, and no more fooling around.

It’s good that sites like PA abound online. We need this. But we also need those exposing the truth to do more, get that energy focused.THAT’S what I’d like to see here and elsewhere.NEW things, not marching in circles or boycotts, etc.Nothing will ever change at the core otherwise.

I would encourage anyone who wants to take some sort of concrete steps toward change to contact Ox,he’s left his email address all over the place here.Anyone who likes and relates to Derrick Jensen’s work is OK by me.

I do think alot of people,ALOT are angry about the state of this planet(and specifically this union),but they’re scared too.Fear disables people, makes it impossible to act.Talking about it is cathartic, but again,it doesn’t change anything. This is especially disheartening for those who may be new to the whole idea of no longer believing the things they were told growing up(and are still being told),what’s on the news,in their country, government, and so on.Those are those"hearts and minds"that could be easily reached.

  8. Thanks, Tammy. Let’s take one pt. underscored by Jordy. The John Brown thing. I expressly did NOT compare myself to JB; went out of my way to make that pt.  But since you bring it up let’s deal with that important figure...and not cloud anything w my “cryptic” language OR the MANY pts. you’ve raised here.  Specifically, what’s your take, Jordy, on how JB could have proceeded WITHOUT pissing people off? Let’s not jump all over the place and focus on one thing, okay?  It’s an exercise that leftists at PAction and way beyond need to experience. It’s a major form of avoidance.  I’ll give Tammy the detailed attention deserved as soon as time permits either here or directly.
