Fighting For a Union: An Interview with Starbucks Workers Union Leader Daniel Gross

We all need to stand with our brothers and sisters who are fighting for unionization. NO WORKER SHOULD EVER HAVE TO WORK FOR LESS THAN A LIVABLE WAGE! Ben and Jerry (the ice cream guys) had it right when they ran their company. I believe that their company policy was that no employee (even the top guy) should ever be paid more than 6 times the lowest waged employee. That correlation between the highest and lowest wages leads to a respect for the worker. Why are we not BOYCOTTING Starbucks? It’s time for some home brewed green tea...PEACE, rosemarie

Whether folks agree or disagree with her call to boycott Starbucks, Rosemarie definitely has set an example in Vermont that more of us should follow. Too bad more people here in the U.S. aren’t joining her to stand up for freedom and against state-sanctioned mass murder. Here’s a link to piece from the Bennington Banner about Rosemarie’s antiwar arrest in 2003, conviction and upcoming sentencing date.
